Day Twelve : A travel day

Today was our travel day, Niseko to Sapporo (the airport) and then flight to Hong Kong. The bus left Niseko on time and despite it snowing pretty much all the way, the roads were clear and we had no trouble getting to the airport on time.

Queuing to check-in was interesting, especially when we discovered yesterday's passengers were also queuing to check-in. Yesterday's flight had been cancelled due to the bad weather. 

This meant our flight was delayed 2 and 1/2 hours. And we had the joy of handling around the airport for about 6 hours. We did get a 1000 yen voucher from Cathay to use on food purchases. 

We went and found a restaurant that sold tempura and Marnie, Sheree and Anthony went to the sandwich bar. We had a very boring afternoon sitting at New Chitose Airport, Sapporo waiting for our plane. He worst part - the wifi is really poor! Not sure how we ever lived before wifi! 

We won't arrive in Hong Kong till about 11.00 pm, so hopefully we make the train before they stop running for the night or we will have to rethink our plans to get to our hotel.
